Have you discovered Mixenden’s new History Hike. Ideal for kids and their grown-ups!

Follow the trail to discover the 12 wooden posts, each one featuring a snippet of local history. From the Roman Road to Jumples Mill, then fast forward to the Annual Mixenden Gala.

The entrance to the trail is on Slippy Lane, near The Addy.

Each of the 12 posts include a QR which you can scan via your smartphone to hear local voices bring history to life. You can use a Bluetooth speaker to make it louder. Alternatively download all the tracks in advance, while you’re in a wi-fi zone using the QR code on the poster.
