Carved Narratives – Telling Stories in Wood

Price: £Free – 5
Carved Narratives – Telling Stories in Wood

Event description

A new exhibition by Anthony Griffiths

“People often ask me where I get the ideas from for my carvings, and the question has prompted the title of this exhibition. My off the cuff answer is usually ” the ideas just come to me” but with a little more thought I realise that many of the pieces have their roots in historical or mythical stories and their depiction in painting or literature”.

Our new exhibition featuring the amazing wood carvings of Anthony Griffiths will be opening on Saturday 7th September and runs until Saturday 12th October 2024. Entry to the exhibition is included in the general entrance fee to the museum. Admission is £5 for adults, £4 for concessions £4 with free entry for children.

Calderdale Industrial Museum is Open Saturdays 10am – 4pm and also Thursdays in the School Holidays. Last admission is at 3pm.
