Fridays 9am – 4pm (closed on Bank Holidays)
Elland Open Market is steeped in history dating back to 1317. It originated from a royal charter, a formal grant issued by a monarch. It is a typical northern market with an intimate and friendly vibe. Although it is one of Calderdale’s smallest markets, it still plays an important part in the community today.
The Market offers a range of locally-produced food and goods, such as fruit, vegetables and fresh fish, cheese. cakes, pies, crafts, aromatherapy, bath products and more!
Elland Market has recently returned to its home at Market Square after a £1 million refurbishment with funding from the government’s Future High Streets Fund.
